Welcome to the Screen Bug Film Fest! 2026 will be our second year hosting this fun lil festival, and since it’s in October, we’ll be accepting horror/sci-fi films! Entries are due by Oct. 19.

RULES:
* NO AI whatsoever! AI usage in ANY PART of the filmmaking process = disqualified!!!
* Accepted genres: Horror, horror/comedy, sci-fi, or thriller
* Short films must be 30 minutes or less to be eligible.
* Filmmaker’s can submit up to 2 short films
* The fest will be accepting up to 20 short films total. If you have 2 films in the festival and there is a surplus of submissions, it’s possible that only 1 of your films will be shown.
SCREENING DATE PENDING! But it will be held in late October, 6:00 p.m. at Full Circle Book Co-op (123 W. 10th Street, Sioux Falls, SD)
